FDA documentation is easy to find. LFGB is where most vendors fail. Our first German shipment from a previous vendor got held at customs for six weeks because they sent a generic test report — one PDF covering their entire catalog. ZGS sent per-product LFGB reports for our hotel line. Every SKU had its own certificate. Customs cleared in three days.

I needed a 250ml stemless wine glass for my wine bar — short body, thin walls, lead-free crystal. Three Chinese factories told me to use their stock design. ZGS made me a custom mold for 8,000 pieces. The mold fee was reasonable and the glass quality comes close to Riedel at a third of the price. I now stock six of their SKUs.

We placed our second order with ZGS in early 2025. The first order in 2024 was clean. This one shipped three weeks late and about a third of the jars had color mismatch on the lid — some more ivory, some more tan, all supposed to match the same Pantone code we sent. Their QC caught it before shipment but by then we'd already lost the retail launch slot. Glass quality is solid. Lead time and color batch consistency need tightening.

Shipping to São Paulo is 35 days minimum by sea. Our high season is December — restaurants need stock by then. ZGS shipped our 2025 Christmas order with eight weeks of buffer, even when we placed it late in September. Cartons had double foam and not a single piece arrived damaged across 6,000 units. The logistics manager here said it was the first time in five years we had zero breakage on a glass shipment from China.

Coffee culture in the Gulf is its own thing. We need 80ml Arabic coffee cups and Turkish coffee sets — most 'global' factories only carry 200ml and up. ZGS made 80ml Arabic cups in Pantone-matched burgundy for our twelve locations across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Ramadan ran clean. Customers thought the cups were local.

We order 4L beverage dispensers for our restaurant group every quarter. Two of the last twelve arrived with cracked spigots — the inner foam wasn't snug enough around the neck. ZGS sent replacements and credited the broken units, but it cost us two weeks of delays on the rollout. Glass itself is great. Just pack them better.
